Published policy

Version 2026-08-22.1 is the published English text.

This page is operational information, not legal advice. Mandatory rights under applicable law always control. AddBrains may publish a newer immutable version at a new URL; historical acceptance remains tied to the version shown at the time. The checkout and fulfilment gates may remain closed even while these terms are published.

1. Operator and agreement

AddBrains is operated by Propeller OOD, EIK 206840771, VAT BG206840771, Business Park Sofia 1, building 2, floor 7, Sofia 1766, Bulgaria. “AddBrains”, “we”, and “us” mean Propeller OOD. These Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, the Privacy Notice, and any order-specific information form the agreement for the applicable service.

By using a service after being shown these Terms, you confirm that you can enter a binding agreement and that the information you provide is accurate. If you use AddBrains for a business, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.

2. The launch service

AddBrains is an API-only digital text service. The launch catalogue contains 39 reviewed text models. Cheaper is the production upstream. OpenRouter is used only as a versioned reference-rate source; AddBrains does not route customer prompts or outputs through OpenRouter.

There is no hosted chat interface and no image or video fulfilment in the initial launch. A model, capability, route, or feature is available only when the published documentation and the applicable account controls say it is available. Public checkout and fulfilment may be disabled for operational, safety, provider, or approval reasons.

3. Accounts and API credentials

  • Verify your email and keep your account information current.
  • Keep API keys server-side. Do not publish, sell, share, transfer, or embed them in a browser bundle.
  • Requests made with an active key are treated as your requests until the key is revoked or we receive a credible compromise report.
  • Report suspected compromise promptly. We may revoke or replace credentials to protect the account and service.
  • Signup records separate Terms and Acceptable Use agreement from Privacy Notice acknowledgement. Marketing messages require separate optional consent and are not required for service.

4. Account-bound service entitlement

A confirmed purchase grants a limited right to consume AddBrains services for the purchased amount. The entitlement is denominated in USD for service pricing and metering. It is not money, electronic money, a deposit, a bank account, a security, a loyalty point, or a transferable wallet.

The entitlement is bound to the purchasing account. It cannot be transferred, resold, pledged, withdrawn as cash, exchanged by AddBrains for loyalty points, or used to create a negative balance. A browser redirect, unconfirmed quote, failed payment, internal grant, or promotional grant is not a completed purchase. Only an authenticated server-side payment confirmation may issue purchased entitlement.

5. Pricing, tax, and payment

Each API request uses the versioned OpenRouter reference rate recorded for the selected alias. A separate flat AddBrains service fee of 6% is charged once when service entitlement is purchased; it is not added to individual API requests.

Before payment, the checkout must show the USD-denominated entitlement, the 6% fee, the applicable tax treatment, the currency charged, the FX snapshot where conversion is used, and one gross all-in total. For the closed-gate reference quote shown on the Checkout information page, USD 25.00 plus USD 1.50 converts at 0.900000 to EUR 22.50 plus EUR 1.35; 20% VAT is EUR 4.77 and the total is EUR 28.62. The live server quote, not this example, controls a payment.

The final payment control must state that it creates an obligation to pay. Payment methods and any provider-controlled offers are shown only by the approved checkout flow. AddBrains does not issue, hold, value, convert, or exchange loyalty points and does not publicly name a payment provider in these Terms.

6. Withdrawal, immediate performance, and conformity

Unless a lawful exception applies, an EU consumer generally has 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Checkout must separately record an express request to begin performance during that period and a separate acknowledgement of the legal consequence explained there. Those choices are not hidden in general acceptance.

Where applicable law permits a proportionate deduction after that express request, the deduction is limited to the service actually supplied and measured. Mandatory remedies for failure to supply or lack of conformity are preserved. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy.

7. Acceptable use

You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy, applicable law, request limits, model restrictions, and clearly incorporated upstream safety rules. You must not evade safety controls, attack the service, share credentials, or use the service to facilitate unlawful harm.

8. Prompts, outputs, and intellectual property

You retain the rights you lawfully hold in material submitted to the service. You grant AddBrains the limited permission needed to process the request, protect the service, and return the output. You are responsible for having the rights and lawful basis needed for what you submit.

Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, unsafe, or similar to outputs generated for others. You are responsible for human review and for deciding whether an output is suitable. AddBrains does not promise that an output is unique, accurate, or fit for a regulated or high-impact decision.

AddBrains and its licensors retain rights in the service, software, documentation, trademarks, and underlying models. Except for rights that cannot lawfully be limited, you may not copy, reverse engineer, or misuse those materials.

9. Availability, limits, and changes to the service

Reasonable limits may apply to request size, concurrency, spend, rate, model access, account age, and security risk. We may change supported aliases, limits, rates, or routes prospectively for valid operational, provider, safety, legal, or economic reasons. A request uses the rate version recorded when it is accepted.

Availability is not guaranteed. Maintenance, provider outages, network failures, abuse controls, and events outside our reasonable control may interrupt service. We do not silently substitute a materially different model. Mandatory consumer conformity and supply rights remain unaffected.

10. Suspension, closure, and chargebacks

We may block a request, rotate a route, revoke a credential, suspend an account, or close access when reasonably necessary for security, fraud, unlawful or abusive use, sanctions, non-payment, a chargeback, upstream requirements, or protection of people and the service. Where lawful and safe, we will explain the reason and provide a review path.

A chargeback or payment uncertainty may freeze related unconsumed entitlement while the payment state is investigated. It is not silently treated as a completed refund. Account closure and data deletion are described in the Account Closure and Data Deletion policy.

11. Liability and disputes

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability, remedy, or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, wilful misconduct, or mandatory digital-service conformity rights. We are not responsible for decisions made solely from model output, unlawful customer use, or third-party systems outside our control.

For a customer acting wholly in business, and to the extent permitted by law, AddBrains’ aggregate liability for a claim arising from the service is limited to the greater of the amount paid to AddBrains for the affected service in the preceding 12 months or EUR 100. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data except where such exclusion is not permitted. Consumer claims are not reduced by this business limitation.

Bulgarian law applies to the extent permitted by mandatory law. For business customers, the competent courts in Sofia, Bulgaria have exclusive jurisdiction. Consumers may use any forum or protection available under mandatory law.

12. Policy changes and evidence

This URL identifies immutable version 2026-08-22.1. A material change will use a new version and URL, with reacceptance where required. Signup and checkout record the exact policy versions, language, and relevant choices; a durable confirmation includes the versions applying to the order.
